Warehouse & Office refurbishment The project focused on the refurbishment of an existing sport centre into a showroom, warehouse and offices for our client. What an amasing experience working with an Austrian client, particulate about every detail and wanting to understand the abilities of all façade element designed… we really had to cross our T’s and dot our I’s, but we thrive in that environment. 90% of the original structure was retained, given a new shell and expanded upon to allow for the different entities to be hosted, totalling 4000m². The showroom, as main event, does not work without a functioning warehouse and office component. A slab was introduced to create a working environment suitable for office staff, with acoustical elements introduced to manage noise levels between the different uses hosted within the structure.
MEDIHELP
MEDIHELP – Commercial Office Refurbishment In association with ARC Architects Pretoria The project entailed the refurbishment and fit-out of 6000m² of office space into the new head office for Medihelp. Due to the age of the existing building, the project included extensive service co-ordination and facilitation of a very complex council approval process to get the original building approved under new regulations. The brief further called for façade design and creating a new external face to match the upgrade of the interiors.
INGRESS BUILDING 3
Commercial Office Development The project sees the completion of the third of five commercial office buildings within the precinct and entails about 4400m² of P-grade offices in answer to the current demand in the area. The first 3 buildings create the first phase positioned around a central courtyard with coffee shops and intimate landscaped seating areas. Facades have been meticulously designed to perform efficiently in order to obtain an EDGE rating. Extensive effort has gone into designing functional floor plates that can not only support single tenancies, but also multiple tenancies per floor should the market demand change in future.
